The deadline for applying for the business support grants in Scotland has changed from March 2021 to 10th July 2020.

Local businesses that have not yet utilised the business support grants in Scotland are being urged to apply before the new closing date of 10th July 2020.

Grants available:

Retail, Hospitality and Leisure grant allows businesses in retail, hospitality and leisure to apply for a one off grant of up to £25,000. To apply their rateable value needs to be between £18,001 and up to and including £50,000.

Small Business Support Grant allows small businesses to apply for a one off grant of up to £10,000 if they get Small Business Bonus Scheme relief or Rural Relief.

Following the initial one off grant awarded for either of the above categories, each additional property that the applicant pays rates for which meet the eligible criteria will qualify for a grant equal to 75% of the initial one off grant.

If you do not qualify for the Small Business Bonus Scheme, but have multiple properties, you still may be eligible for the Small Business Support Grant for any retail, hospitality or leisure properties with a rateable value up to £18,000. From Monday 8th June, upper combined rateable value limit increased from £51,000 to a maximum of £500,000.
