The Northern Irish Executive has today confirmed that tourist accommodation including hotels may reopen on the 20th July.

This will include hotels, caravan parks, bed and breakfasts, self catering properties, holiday parks, guesthouses and hostels.

The minister has stressed that this will only be possible if the rate of transmission of the virus can be controlled.

Newsagents who may supply to these accommodations should make contact with their wholesalers/suppliers in advance to ensure they will have enough supplies to fulfil any orders these establishments may require.

Economy Minister, Diane Dodds has said:

“I want to build upon the positive progress in managing the spread of the virus and begin to re-open our tourism industry in a safe and managed way”
