From next Friday (August 13) the Wigan Post will move from daily publication to weekly frequency.
As a result, the cover price will rise to £1.30.
Publisher JPI Media said the weekly edition will be bigger and will capture all current key daily platforms, news, sport and features. Due to the change in cover price and frequency there will also be a new barcode.
The final daily edition of the Wigan Post will appear on Thursday August 12. On Friday August 13 the first edition of the Wigan Post Weekly will arrive in shops and should remain on sale for the following seven days.
