Social distancing and wearing face masks are likely to remain in place until the end of the year, The Times newspaper has warned.

A Whitehall source has told the newspaper that both restrictions will be in place for a long time. Scientists have even warned that both measures could remain in place until the end of the year.

A government source is quoted in the paper as saying: “The more restrictions we have in place like social distancing rules the more we can do in terms of easing.”
