11 areas will remain under level four Covid-19 restrictions until 11 December, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has confirmed.
Tier 4 restrictions on 11 council areas – including Glasgow, West Lothian and Lanarkshire – will be lifted on December 11.
Ms Sturgeon said that measures were having a “positive impact” but cautioned how the level of the virus was still higher than it needed to be.
Speaking at Holyrood yesterday (December 1), she said: “It is the case that the Level 4 restrictions in place in 11 local authority areas will be lifted a week on Friday – 11 December.
“And so as we decide the levels each of those will go into, we have an opportunity at next week’s review to look at the allocation of levels across the country more generally.
“It is likely, therefore, that next week’s review will be more substantial.”
