Because of disruption at News UK printing sites last night, a number of titles have been delayed getting to wholesalers and retailers.  The NFRN is currently liaising with News UK and the two major wholesalers.  As a result of this disruption our call centre is currently much busier than usual. We will keep you updated as we become aware of developments.

Menzies Delivery updates:

Aberdeen – All runs departed approximately 15 minutes later than scheduled.

Ashford – All runs departed up to 25 minutes later than scheduled. Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne print centre titles double running are Sun, Times, Telegraph. No eta available as yet. (Further Update – Still not arrived at 10:41 and coming from Portsmouth, The Sun  has  been confirmed as not on the vehicle and unlikely customer will receive the Times and Telegraph). 

Belfast – All runs departed to schedule.

Berwick – All runs will be extremely late this morning and will impact heavily on departure times due to the no arrival as yet of all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne print centre No eta at present. (Further Update – Due to shortages on all supplements and News UK arrival time of 08:15am all runs will depart by 09:15am escalating late running to approximately 180- minutes later than scheduled).

Bow – All runs departed 45 minutes later than scheduled. Titles running 24 hours late are Daily Record and Irish Independent. Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne print centre double running Telegraph no eta (Update – Telegraph received at 06:20am runs 2, 8, 11, 14, 19, 21, 31 are on route at 07:13am).  (Further Update – Runs J09 and J10 will not be sent out today.  All other runs departed by 08:59am).

Carlisle – All runs departed to schedule. Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne print centre causing News UK titles running 24 hours late Sun, Times, Telegraph, Financial Times. (Further Update – Sun, Times, Telegraph, Financial Times, Daily Mail are not expected into the branch until mid-day and will not be sent out).

Chester – Runs departed to schedule.  Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne print centre no eta available.   Titles that will double run will be Daily Mail, Sun, Times, Telegraph, Financial Times.  (Update – Sun and Times Compact received at 06:23am, Daily Mail estimated arrival time 07:45am, Telegraph and Financial Times no eta and uncertain if the Telegraph and Financial Times will be received in time to be delivered today). (Further Update – Telegraph and Financial Times have not been received.  Daily Mail arrived into branch at 08:50am and all delivered).

Dublin – Due to late inbound arrivals all A,B, S, H, U, K, N, J runs departed between 30-60 minutes later than scheduled.

Dundee – All runs departed between 30-40 minutes later than scheduled.

Eastbourne – Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne print centre titles double running are Sun, Times, Telegraph. No eta available as yet. (Update – Times and Telegraph are on route to the branch no eta as yet. Possibility that the Sun will not be received as not on the vehicle). (Further update – The branch received the Times and 11 bundles only of the Telegraph, some customers will be short supplied and adjusted, The Sun has not been received.  Runs E02, 04, 19 will not double run the Times and Telegraph .  Incorrect stock received resulting in not enough Telegraph – these will be adjusted accordingly).

Grays – Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne print centre. Arrival time expected into the branch is between 06:00am and 09:00am. Titles that will double run will be Sun, Times, Telegraph, Financial Times and the East Anglian Daily Times.  (Further Update – News UK titles have not been received and will not be sent out today).

Hull – Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne print centre. Titles that will double run will be Sun, Times, Telegraph, Financial Times. Due to driver sickness run F24 is running 120 minutes later than scheduled. (Further update – The News UK titles will not be delivered today),

Inverness – Due to late publisher arrivals runs departed up to 20 minutes later than scheduled.

Ipswich – All runs departed to schedule.  Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne print centre unfortunately it is unlikely the  Sun, Times, Telegraph EDP will be delivered today.  Title running 24 hours late Daily Record.

Kendal – All runs departed approximately 15 minutes later than scheduled. Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne print centre. Titles that will double run will be Sun, Times, Telegraph, Financial Times. Titles running 24 hours late are Newcastle Journal and Liverpool Echo. (Update – Daily Mail is expected at the branch at 08:30am,  Sun, Times, Telegraph, Daily Mail all expected to depart the branch by 09:00am).

Linwood – All runs departed approximately 20 minutes later than scheduled due to production issues at the print centre, Daily Mail is double running from run A01-A68(Further Update – All Mail double runs departed the branch with the exception of  the Northern runs A11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 44, 45 – the copies have been set aside in the event that customers would still like to receive on  Sunday).

Londonderry – All runs departed to schedule.

Maidstone – All runs departing a minimum 30 minutes later than scheduled. Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne print centre. Titles that will double run will be Sun, Times, Telegraph. (Further Update  – The sun will not be received today. The Times and Telegraph will be delivered into the branch at 10:45am, runs that were sent out are A03, 04, 06, 07, 08, 09, 13, 20, 22, 26, 35, 37, 41, 42). 

Newbridge –Most runs departed to schedule.  Double running the Scottish Daily Mail for runs M03, 04, 05, 06, 08, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 27, 33, 39, 72, 81, 82, 83, 87.

Norwich – Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne  and Knowsley print centres causing uncertainty if the  Sun, Times, Telegraph, EDP and Evening News will be delivered today.

Portsmouth – All runs departed to schedule.  (Update -Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne print centre titles double running are Sun, Times, Telegraph.  (Update – Telegraph arrived at 07:50am).

Preston – All runs departed to schedule. Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne print centre. Titles that will double run will be Daily Mail, Sun, Times, Telegraph. The Daily Mail is expected into the branch for 07:30am. (Update – Financial Times and Irish Independent will run 24 hours late).

Rhyl – Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne print centre. Titles that will double run will be Sun, Times estimated into the branch at 06:45am, Telegraph, Financial Times are not expected to be delivered today and may run 24 hours late, Daily Mail has been transferred to the Dinnington print centre and no information has been received in regards to delivery as yet.  (Further Update – Daily Mail arrived at 07:30am and missed the double runs for M01, 03, 04, 06, 08, 13, 23, 29).

Ryde – Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne print centre. Titles that will double run will be Sun, Times, Telegraph.  No eta available as yet.

SEL – All runs departed up to 60 minutes later than scheduled.  Telegraph has not been received and uncertain if this will be 24 hours late.  – (Update – Due to short supply runs B04, 24, 31, 32, 35, 50, 65, 70, 72 will not receive the Telegraph).

Sheffield – All runs departed up to 40 minutes later than scheduled. Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the print centre. Titles that will double run will be Sun, Times, the Telegraph, and Financial Times will not be distributed. (Further Update – Most double runs departed the branch by 08:59am, It is doubtful the following runs will be sent out B08, 14, 21, 39, 52, 54, 58, 61, 74, 97)

Stockton – Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne print centre. Titles that will double run will be Sun, Times, Telegraph. Estimated arrival time of the Sun, Times and Telegraph into the branch is estimated between 08:00 and 12:00pm. Daily Mail arrived at 06:45am no eta at present. (Further Update – Daily Mail arrived at 05:35am and has been sent out from the branch Sun, Times Telegraph are not expected into the branch until 1:00pm and will not be sent out).  

Swansea – All runs departed 30 minutes later than scheduled. Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne print centre. It is uncertain if the Sun, Times and Telegraph will double run depending on time of arrival into the branch. (Further Update – News UK titles will not be received into the branch).

Wakefield – Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne print centre. Titles that will double run will be Sun, Times, Telegraph, Financial Times, Yorkshire Post, Yorkshire Evening Post. Sun is estimated into the branch at 06:45am. (Update – Sun arrived at 07:15am, Times and Telegraph estimated arrival time into the branch is 08:15am.  Double runs not being delivered are A02, 04, 05, 06, 09, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 34, 47, 63, 75, 76. Run A57 was split between 2 vehicles and departed at approximately 07.30am).

Weybridge – Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne print centre. Titles that will double run are Sun, Times, Telegraph(Update – Times and Telegraph estimated arrival into the branch is 08:15am). (Further Update – Times and Telegraph arrived at 08:00am.  The Sun has not been received today). 

York – All runs departed between 45-60 minutes later than scheduled. Major delays expected for all News UK titles due to protesters outside the Broxbourne print centre. Titles not received are Sun. Times, Telegraph and Financial Times.  (Further Updates – Sun and Times went out on a double run only).
