The extinction rebellion group are planning to March on London this coming weekend as well as undertaking activity to hit the news media industry

There is a March planned on Saturday 26th June and proposed action against the News media on Sunday, at present we are unaware of the activity, but understand from sources this may be targeted at Supermarkets, however, whatever action they undertake may have a detrimental effect on all retailers.

An extract from their website below gives an indication as to the level of activity they are planning

After marching with others, it’ll be time to dial things up so let’s invite everyone to come back the next day and join us in holding the mainstream media to account. We cannot survive, meaningfully and with compassion, when there is a revolving door between our government and a billionaire press that is obsessed with profit, and fuelled by hostility. On 27 June we will take action in London and put pressure on the media to show them we will not be divided!

Publishers and wholesalers have contingency plans in place to try and avoid the problems caused in September last year when they blockaded the News UK print site which meant distribution was hugely affected.
