There is no longer any legal requirement to wear face coverings in stores in the whole of the UK and Ireland after Covid restrictions in Scotland were lifted yesterday (Monday, April 18).

While all LEGAL restrictions have been lifted, governments and health experts still strongly advise the public to continue to wear masks voluntarily in order to reduce the spread.

All laws requiring workplaces to take precautions for Covid have also been lifted after the Welsh government fell in line with the rest of the UK and Ireland on Monday, April 18, and scrapped the legal requirement for businesses to conduct Covid risk assessments.
