Reach have made The Fed aware of issues with distribution into Menzies Ashford depot this morning due to a traffic situation. An additional HGV has been called in to deliver any overstock copies available from Watford.

Reach have advised the below:

We received a call from the Ashford driver this morning reporting to be stuck on the M20 a mile away from junction 9 in the operation.

Brock the driver explained that he did not see the sign for local traffic, but instead saw the sign for HGV’s and followed the sign. Kent Police have been contacted and asked to escort the driver from the queue, but as of yet the driver is still awaiting assistance.

An additional 3.5t has been called in to deliver to Ashford any overstock copies available at Watford.

Reach and News UK are endeavouring to get copies to Menzies as soon as possible and the News Operations Team will be liaising with publishers to establish the full facts of the issue this morning.
