The NFRN and News UK have teamed up to offer a fantastic giveaway for members – a free freestanding newspaper display unit and a new exterior shop signage.

The display units will allow members to display copies of The Sun and The Times at the front of stores to take advantage of newspaper impulse purchases, driven by the draw of the front pages.

News UK Retail Director Neil Spencer said: “A range of these units have already been placed with a number of our members in Scotland and they have seen strong sales increases.

“Alongside newspapers these units also provide the opportunity for you to showcase new products in store near your checkouts – again to take advantage of impulse purchase or alternatively you could create a seasonal display.”

The units also have the space for retailers to advertise promotions in store via the unit header, print out your best offers and display them above the newspaper.

These units have been proven to deliver between £3k and £5k extra sales per year and best of all they are free for NFRN members.

The units are 900mmm high x 425mm deep and come in either clear plastic or black, are multifunctional and highly durable.

Meanwhile, the exterior signs are designed to be installed at the front of a store to make it clear to shoppers that the store sells newspapers.

There are two types of signs – a flat, double sided Sun sign (called a blade) which is not illuminated, plus illuminated signs for both The Sun and The Times. These illuminated signs will need to be plugged in or connected to a power supply but they will illuminate a store at night as well as advertise that newspapers are on display here.

To order the display unit or the sign simply send an email with your name, your store name, address and box number to growsales@news.co.uk and they will do the rest.

This offer is based on a first come, first served basis and stock is limited so please do not delay, sign up today.
