The Fraud Advisory Panel, in partnership with Barclays bank, is running a new year-long campaign to support the UK business community.
The campaign, called Love Business. Hate Fraud, runs until May 31, 2023, and aims to raise awareness of the types of fraud affecting businesses, especially small ones, and share prevention tips and hints.
It will focus on four key issues: purchasing fraud; staff fraud; cybercrime and managing risks – with one topic per quarter, as well as other ad hoc ones. Common myths about business fraud will also be dispelled.
The campaign features a new website https://lovebusiness-hatefraud.org.uk/with a business toolkit, social media, free events, and a new Business Fraud Network to share information and alerts on current and emerging threats.
The panel is also running a free webinar on August 2 between 6pm and 7pm about why tackling fraud matters.
The webinar will explain what fraud is, how it can occur within your business, both the financial and non-financial harm it can cause and outline some practical things you can do to stay safe. With a chance to have your questions answered.
