Today (Wednesday January 27), the NFRN is getting behind The Sun’s Jabs Army campaign to get readers to help with the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine.

In association with The Sun, we have produced posters for you to put up in your store to help inspire your customers to get involved with the biggest vaccination programme in British history.

These free posters are being distributed with the February edition of The Fed, which will be arriving in your tote boxes next week. In the meantime, you can download and print the poster from the link below to encourage your customers to sign up as steward volunteers at NHS vaccination hubs across the UK.

Pledging members’ support, National President Stuart Reddish said: “Up and down the UK, our members are at the heart of their communities and see firsthand the devastating effect that Covid-19 is having on their customers.  At the NFRN we are proud to back The Sun’s fantastic Jabs Army campaign.  I would ask you to display the poster in your stores and encourage your customers to get involved with the biggest vaccination programme in British history.”

News UK retail director Neil Spencer added:

“This campaign shows the power of newspapers to make a difference and inspire action. Do encourage your customers to get involved with The Sun’s Jabs Army and thank you for all your hard work throughout the pandemic to support your communities.”

Now entering its fourth week, the campaign has recruited 50,000 volunteers as Steward Volunteers to help the vaccination process run safely and efficiently by ensuring social distancing and identifying people who need additional support.

Signing up via NHS Volunteers readers can commit to just two six-hour shifts a month at a vaccination service, and no prior experience or qualifications are required.

Volunteers can simply register online at nhsvolunteerresponders.org.uk.

A host of government ministers and celebrities have pledged their backing.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson described it as a “fantastic initiative”, while Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer said it was  “another chance for all of us to do our bit to support the vaccine effort and defeat this virus”.

Among celebrities lining up in support are Gary Lineker, Jeremy Clarkson, Matt Lucas, Gordon Ramsay and Piers Morgan.
