NFRN Connect is continuing to see an extremely high volume of inbound calls as a result of members struggling to get in touch with their news wholesalers, particularly Smiths News.

As the team is handling record numbers of calls at present, courtesy follow up calls are still proving extremely difficult to make. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause members awaiting an update on their issue and would like to assure you that complaints are still being chased. Requests are being made to news wholesalers to contact you directly with updates.

Representations are being made at the highest level to both Smiths News and Menzies Distribution to review their contact centre operations and to make any necessary improvements, to ensure members’ calls are handled as swiftly as possible.
