The News Media Association has requested a 45-minute cut-off extension for the distribution of newspapers on Sunday 22nd October.

This is a result of England playing against South Africa in the Rugby World Cup Semi Final on Saturday 21st October, kicking off at 8pm.

In line with previous occasions, publishers have agreed to a cut-off extension – in England, Wales, and Scotland – of 45 minutes for issues dated Sunday 22/10/23.

This is in-line with arrangements made in similar circumstances previously, and whilst that extension won’t be used in all locations, it will allow publishers to cover the game in depth across more copies and get a better product on sale in the vast majority of the country on Sunday.
