In line with previous years, publishers have arranged potential cut-off extensions with wholesalers for issues dated Thursday 8th June 2023 and Sunday 11th June 2023.

These extensions would be strictly conditional and would only be applied should any of the Champions League or Europa Conference League final games listed below go to extra time:

Thursday 8th June: Europa Conference League Final – West Ham vs Fiorentina

Publishers have arranged a conditional South-West / Swansea only extension for 30 mins but only if that game goes to extra time.

For clarity, the extension on issue Thursday 8th June if used would be applied to the following houses:
• Bodmin
• Redruth
• Plymouth
• Exeter
• Barnstaple
• Taunton
• Yeovil
• Swansea

Sunday 11th June: Champions League Final – Man City vs Intern Milan

Publishers have arranged a 45 mins extension across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as per previous occasions.

The extension for the Champions League final will be nationwide.

For many titles, having these games covered in full is essential, and therefore these extensions may be necessary to meet readers’ needs.

Hopefully none of those games will go into extra time, but if they do, those cut-off extensions will be crucial for publishers.
