The NFRN has received the following letter from Christina Sequeira, Retail, International & Marketing Services Director at magazine distributor Marketforce.
I am writing to update you on the latest action and business continuity approach that we are taking at Marketforce in response to the ongoing Coronavirus situation.
As of today, we are implementing a remote working policy, where our teams will work from home rather than come into our UK offices. This solution has been put in place because the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff is our priority.
All of our staff were already able to work ‘agilely’ and we have already successfully tested the whole organisation working from home collectively. We are therefore well prepared to continue to deliver all of our services as normal in this way.
What this means specifically for our retailers:
- We are still very much open for business and do not envisage disruption to our working practices in the foreseeable future
- As of today, all employees are fully operational remotely, please continue to work with them in the usual way
- We will minimise the amount of physical contact between our people, clients, retailers and partners replacing these with calls and video conferencing
- We believe it is important to maintain good contact and communication and will work flexibly with you to mutual benefit
Our supply chain partners have robust business continuity programmes in place and we are in close contact with them on a daily basis monitoring the latest situation. At this point in time, it is operating effectively with no interruptions. We will keep you informed of any developments.
Clearly it’s also important that we continue to monitor sales performance and take appropriate action. We are mindful of your in-store staff priorities at this time but also the need to maintain revenues through this challenging period.
We are confident that these measures will allow us to continue to operate in the best possible way, whilst maintaining the health of our employees, clients, retailers and partners. We thank you in advance for your understanding; please feel free to cascade this notice across your business as you see fit.
Yours sincerely,
Christina Sequeira
