With our AGM fast approaching and as Wales is now branchless, we are looking for members to put themselves forward as district representatives.
So that we can operate efficiently and effectively in 2022, it is important that all the areas where branches existed are represented within the district. This means we are looking for members in these locations to nominate themselves as district councillors and to participate fully in meetings and debates. This will include attending district meetings and meetings with news wholesalers, and assisting in the organisation of other events that will help your colleagues boost their businesses. It is also important that all local issues impacting on independent retailers are fully considered.
At our AGM on February 22 2022, our district president, vice president, national councillors and 2022 Annual Conference delegates will be elected.
All full members, full partner members and affiliate members can put themselves forward for election. Life members may also nominate themselves but, in the event of applications being over-subscribed, will have to withdraw if a full member, full partner member or affiliate member is also standing.
We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, willing to learn and prepared to share their experiences of life as an independent retailer to help their Federation colleagues compete more effectively in today’s challenging trading environment.
