Smith News are having some issues served out of the Gloucester Depot this morning due to flooding.

Police are advising for those areas affected, not to travel and that they do not expect the situation to improve until the earliest this afternoon.

This may result in some customers not getting their deliveries today, although they will deliver where they can.

The following roads in these areas are closed:

  • M50 westbound from Junction 8 to Junction 2
  • M50 eastbound from A40 to Junction 8
  • A38 between B4066 for Berkeley and A4135 for Slimbridge
  • A40 from A417 Over roundabout to A4136 for in Huntley
  • A435 from Cheltenham Road to Hyde Lade
  • A48 between Blakeney and Highnam

Police have also advised not to travel into the Forest of Dean or surrounding areas so routes can be kept clear for emergency services.

  • Ross on Wye
  • Presteigne
  • Kington
