How illegal tobacco is threatening retailers
In the latest FedTalks episode, Dale Stacey, Communications Manager at JTI UK discusses the serious ramifications illegal tobacco is having on incomes and livelihoods of honest retailers.
He is joined by Former Australian Federal Police and Border Force officer Rohan Pike, who shares his experiences of the “tobacco wars” in Australia and what the UK can learn from a country where the black market has spiralled out of control, causing violence and fear in local communities.
The pair also outline the impacts of the Tobacco & Vapes Act, as well as the upcoming tobacco tax increases on the burgeoning illegal trade.
